MPMD Magnetic draft covers
thingiverse
I had spotted a snap on tool holder for the MPMD (MPMD Side Clip by PorchPhysics Dec 9, 2017) and thought I would apply the same concept to create a snap-on holder for my 10A PS. It worked very well, so when we experienced a cold snap and I began to encounter adhesion problems, which I attributed to a drafty area where my printer was located, I decided to use the same idea to create a magnet enclosure for my MPMD. The clips are magnetic so they can be used to hold a variety of things other than the covers. The covers themselves are just made out of cardboard and are attached to the clips with a magnetic hanger/stand. Other materials could be used instead of cardboard, I just happened to have a few pieces which happened to be a size that worked. The only caution is, that when you glue in the magnets, you have to ensure that the polarity of the magnets is set correctly. The snap on clips have spaces for 3-12mm neodymium magnets and the magnetic card holder has a space for one. You can place the clips on all three towers at the top, bottom or both. They will also slide up and down the tower so if you only want a half door they work fine for that. The card holders can hang or sit upright. The covers are not sealed, as they were just meant to block out the drafts I was getting, but you can always print a frame for your door or use a folded card if you require extra space for printing near the edges of the bed.
