MPMD Binder Bed Clip with Wrench
thingiverse
Remixed from Dennis Brown's original design. https://www.facebook.com/groups/mpminideltaowners/permalink/2134979383184203/ This remix is shorter and uses easier-to-find hardware. Print the clip with support and at least 70% infill, as it needs to be strong. Print the wrench with at least 50% infill and three shells; some flexibility is okay. Hardware needed: * 3mm flat head hex drive screw. It must be shorter than 10mm. * 3mm hex nut * 3mm washer * 4-40 x 1/4 cap head machine screw * 4-40 hex nut * Binder Clip First, press the 4-40 nut into the recess underneath the clip. Next, insert the binder clip. Then follow the general instructions at the Facebook link. The difference is to use the 3mm flat head screw to mount the clip to the base and insert the 3mm nut and washer into the wrench (the wrench will hold them in place). Hold it underneath the hole and fasten the clip with the screw. Gently lift the wrench off; this is best done with three hands, but I managed to do it alone. The adjustment screw is now in place; follow the Facebook instructions to tune it. The adjustment screw can probably be converted to a 2.5mm cap head. A 2mm screw would definitely be too small. If the screw head isn't large enough, you might just have enough room for a washer. The source file is attached if adjustments need to be made. Disclaimer: This part has extremely tight tolerances. There's very little room to work with due to the effector plate and low bed height. Before running a print, manually move the gantry to ensure no collisions will occur.
