MPMD base (yep, another one!)
thingiverse
Whilst modding my Monoprice Mini Delta I decided to rectify the horrible functionality of the base plate. - the stock machine depended on little stick-on nubs for feet. Great until one comes loose/gets lost. And there really was not much space for airflow anyway. - and the fan, while noisy as all get out, also was miles away from the controller board which needed the cooling airflow for the stepper drivers. Not finding anything which met all my desires here on Thingiverse, I elected to design this and add to the pile YOU undoubtedly had to sift through to arrive here. Clever, eh? I printed this on my Ender-3 clone, 235x235mm bed size, and it won't work on anything much smaller. The 'inner' face prints flat to the bed, no supports required. The legs are sufficiently vertical they don't need them either. I mounted my (new and pricey and QUIET) 60mm fan inside the machine (using the included grill design to keep wires clear of the spinny bits) but you can mount outside/underside as well, you will just have to make an opening to route the leads through as you see fit. This slots snugly inside the panel perimeter and attaches with the stock screws. The legs use minimal material to print but are nicely stable and I thought they blended nicely with the machine aesthetic. You can always remix if you disagree of course. ;-)
