MPF - Meshcube Lamp / Netzwürfel Lampe
thingiverse
The MPF - Meshcube Lamp / Netzwürfel Lampe is an innovative creation that combines functionality with a unique design. This build project serves as the first test for my multi-purpose-frame (MPF), which has the potential to be used in various applications. The design of the mesh lampshade is relatively simple, consisting of two primary parts: vertical (V) and horizontal (H) bars that form the cubic frame (300 x 300 x 300 mm). The provided files contain one or four of the necessary parts, depending on the user's requirements. A wave pattern at the outer edges serves as a secure attachment point for the cord. To assemble the lamp, it is recommended to hang the frame rotatably, allowing for easy access and manipulation during the building process. This design feature also enables users to adjust the position of the mesh lampshade as needed. The print parameters used for this project include: * Printer: Anycubic Kossel Linear Plus * Software: Cura * Material: PLA - 1.75 mm * Extruder temperature (PLA): 200 °C * Extruder temperature (fluorescent/fluoreszierendes PLA): 210 °C * Bed temperature: 60 °C * Layer height: 0.2 mm * Perimeters: 2 * Perimeter width: 0.4 mm * Solid top and bottom layers: 3 * Infill density: 20% * Print speed: 60 mm/s The parts required for this project include: * V-4x: 4 parts, printed 2 times each (172.5 x 80 x 18.5 mm), totaling 63g and taking 5 hours 25 minutes to print * V-1x: 1 part, printed 8 times (172.5 x 15 x 18.5 mm), requiring 16g of material and 1 hour 40 minutes to print * H-4x: 4 parts, printed 4 times each (168 x 85.34 x 15 mm), totaling 57g and taking 5 hours 6 minutes to print * H-1x: 1 part, printed 16 times (168 x 16.34 x 15 mm), requiring 14g of material and 1 hour 34 minutes to print The total print time for this project is 31 hours 14 minutes, with a total PLA material usage of 354g. To assemble the lamp, users will need to purchase additional materials, including: * M4 nuts and bolts * M5x12 mm hexagon socket head screws * M4x10 mm hexagon socket head screws * Cord (25m) * Wood glue The mesh lampshade is a unique and functional creation that showcases the potential of 3D printing technology. With its simple design and adjustable frame, this project offers endless possibilities for customization and experimentation.
