MPCNC z nut lock for trapezoidal spindle
thingiverse
Remixed http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:790533 from Allted and modified IE_z_nut_lock_13mm.stl for a trapezoidal nut. To print this part successfully, you'll need a well-adjusted printer that delivers precise results. The elasticity of your filament also plays a crucial role, as it might be challenging to get the nut into the nut lock without breaking the nut lock. Here are the parts I used: 1 x 5x8mm flexible motor coupler 1 x additional 608 ZZ bearing for anti-backlash 3 x TR8x1.5 nut 17x15mm (two for anti-backlash and one for the z nut lock) 1 x TR8x1.5 trapezoidal spindle 8mm x 400mm 2 x DIN 988 8mm x 12mm x 0.5mm spacers The order of these parts, from top to bottom, is: coupler, spacer, bearing (within z_motor_mount), bearing, spacer, 3 x nut. Tighten the two top nuts firmly against each other to secure their position on the spindle.
