MPCNC Z Axis Limit Switch Holder
thingiverse
This is a simple Z-axis limit switch holder for the MPCNC. There are two variants available - one designed specifically for use with a Reprap style limit switch board and another that accommodates a bare micro-switch. In both instances, the micro-switch must have a straight lever and be wired in normally closed mode. This means if you're utilizing the Reprap style board, you'll need to: Disassemble the existing micro-switch Add small wires to reroute the micro-switch Reconnect the wires to the board while swapping the NC (normally closed) and NO (normally open) connections. Secure the micro-switch with 2 tiny M2 screws - or an adhesive - salvaged from broken electronic devices work perfectly for this purpose The holder itself is screwed into place beneath the Lower Better Middle Z - Add On of the middle assembly. Before tightening the screws, carefully adjust the position of the holder so that the switch gently closes when the pipe engages. Conversely, it must open when the pipe rises. I've successfully implemented this limit switch holder on an IE version of the MPCNC and it operates flawlessly. However, I'm unsure whether it will fit the US model. If you decide to test it out, please share your findings with us. Enjoy experimenting with this innovative Z-axis limit switch holder.
