This is a custom designed MPCNC Z-axis independent dust shoe, specifically made for the Makita RT0700 and RT0701 routers. The dust shoe is mounted securely on the gantry without moving with the z-axis, allowing you to level it directly against your workpiece. This design ensures maximum accuracy by not interfering with the z-axis movement. To fit this dust shoe on the latest MPCNC "Burly" model, I've modified the J3J3's gantry mount for a perfect fit. The dust shoe is designed to be snugly fitted around the Makita router, effectively blocking all airflow from the router and preventing vacuum suction interference. For added visibility, you can CNC mill an acrylic or PC sheet to create a transparent lid that allows you to see through the dust shoe during cuts. I've included the DXF file for this purpose in the package. Many users often resort to using imported brushes or cutting them from other materials. However, why not print one instead? I've created brush models that can be printed directly on your MPCNC machine. To assemble these brushes, simply glue them together with E6000 flexible glue - CA glue may make them too brittle. To build the dust shoe, you'll need to print all parts. The "Pipe Holder Main Clamp" requires support during printing, while every other part can be printed without any supports. Each brush model needs nine separate prints. Assembly is straightforward, requiring only three M4 bolts and nuts. If you use Prusa Slicer, I've included the necessary 3mf files for a seamless printing experience.
