This modification aims to eliminate some of the slop in the XYZ Cam component when using 3/4 inch EMT. It makes the cam stiffer and facilitates tightening the nuts and bolts more easily. Additionally, the M8 x 130 mm bolt is too short for this adjustment, requiring an M8 x 160 mm or a minimum of a 5/16 x 7 inch bolt instead.
