This is a CNC Spindle Motor Attachment for the Mostly Printed CNC 525, updated on May 25, 2016. The high-quality 400W ER11 CNC Spindle Motor is paired with a Mach3 PWM speed controller and an Engraving Kit, available on eBay at http://www.ebay.com/itm/261878403099?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT. To power the spindle, a 48-volt power supply is required; purchase it from Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/SMAKN%C2%AE-Regulated-Switching-Supply-Quality/dp/B0113JHSRO?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00. The spindle holder features a removable dust shoe held in place by magnets, available at Harbor Freight in packs of 10; two packages are needed http://www.harborfreight.com/10-piece-rare-earth-magnets-67488.html. Additionally, 6-32 screws and nuts are necessary for assembly. A custom power supply mount and case have been designed for the spindle controller as well as a separate case for the 12-volt supply. To accommodate the spindle, a modified tool holder has been extended by two inches to improve fit; this design is also available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1613734. Edit: On June 18, 2016, an updated version for the original MPCNC machine was added, featuring a top mount adapted from another design. Printer settings include using RepRap as the brand, Prusa I3 H3D as the printer model, no rafts, yes supports, .3mm resolution, and 55 to 70% infill.
