MPCNC Rotozip SCS-01 mount

Edit 11-15-17: I modified the top mount to utilize a fully split ring, making installation and removal significantly easier. To create a suitable mount for my old RotoZip to attach to my Mostly Printed CNC, I needed a custom solution that could accommodate my machine's specific requirements. This design may also be compatible with other setups. The lower mount of my Rotozip measures 43mm in diameter, while the upper mount is 67mm wide. To establish the correct hole pattern, I utilized the blank mount from Allted as a reference point. Due to the added thickness of the mounts, installation proved to be quite challenging, mainly because I aimed to ensure their stiffness and avoid potential breakage. Furthermore, my tendency to create slightly tight holes, which I then ream out to precise dimensions, resulted in screw holes that were a bit too snug as well. To overcome these difficulties, I employed some of the extra 6-32 hardware from the MPCNC build to securely clamp the RotoZip onto the mount.
