1-7-2017: New file added for bltouch support. Same rigid mount, just with a bltouch mount instead. 10-6-2016: I've been able to print the latest changes and I'm extremely satisfied with the results. I changed up the tie downs a bit to add more clearance. I even made some untested models with the HicWic universal mount in mind. If anyone wants to try them out, enjoy! NOTE: I've made improvements to the design to add better printability. I rounded off the edges of the probe holder so it won't cut me anymore. I reduced the size of the internal duct work and rounded off the internal corners to help it print better and support itself. I thinned down the motor mount wall just enough for those last few screw treads to grab, and added some nut slots for the probe holder. I haven't actually printed this one yet, but I noticed some interest in this part and wanted to get it out there. I like the original mk mount just fine, but I find it bulky to add the fan and long shroud. If you need a bed probe then you have to find some way to hang it off everything. My part adds rigidity and moves the part fan into the mount itself, forcing air through the mount and out the bottom directly to the nozzle. There is a sleeve for the standard Chinese capacitive bed level probe which is larger than the standard inductive probe. If you need to use an inductive probe then you could print a sleeve for it to slide into this mount. This is just the first go at this design, I have plans to tweak the design a bit more. I was skeptical at first as to if it would print at all, but my MPCNC has no problems with bridging and overhangs. Some slicers have the ability to selectively add supports manually, but so far I haven't needed any supports, just a bit of extra cleanup for the fan to fit snugly. Feel free to make suggestions as this is my first real attempt at CAD design using more than Tinkercad. I only used Tinkercad to do some testing and to add the mount geometry easily. https://youtu.be/Wei3ACiulS4 Print Settings Printer: MPCNC 525 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .26 Infill: 60% Notes: DO NOT USE SUPPORTS. This model is hollow and needs to be, if you have issues with bridging then you might need to change some settings in your slicer. I turn bridging speeds to 20mm/s and I used Matter Control to slice. After printing you may need to remove stray sags from the long bridges, but the walls are thick enough that you shouldn't have to worry about it.
