10/29/2019 I adapted the brush holder design by incorporating a V groove that securely holds the brush in place, eliminating the need for glue. Carefully feed the brush into the gap between the pipes while navigating it around the circuit, taking care not to dislodge any parts along the way. If you pull too hard, you'll have to start over. I'm considering modifying the design further by adding an opening in front of the router hole, allowing half the brush to be fed through from each direction. Keep an eye out for a revised remix soon. When I printed the original shoe holder, I noticed that the Z axis rails didn't align perfectly and the sleeve wouldn't fit into a standard conduit. To address this issue, I recalculated the critical dimensions of the channel for the brush and reconfigured the geometry to reduce plastic usage and print times while increasing negative pressure under the shoe. Next, I plan to acquire my own brush and cut out parts on my MPCNC. However, my primary goal is now to create high-quality accessories for this machine, and the Dust Collector design fits perfectly with the original concept. Because I designed it using OpenSCAD, making adjustments to any dimensions is a breeze. Simply install OpenSCAD, make your desired changes, render, and export a new STL file if necessary. Edit - After printing the 25mm UK part, I realized that I also needed to create a new top for our standard 23.5mm USA conduit size. The pipe insert and spacing remain identical to the bottom shoe holder, and I made the vacuum inlet adjustable in the code. Additionally, I've uploaded an updated CAD file featuring both the top and bottom Shoe holders, along with a test fit piece that can be printed using about 5 grams of filament to verify my dimensions.
