I designed this adapter based on a different concept I saw on Thingiverse (design ID 3784175). Since my z-axis tubes stick out slightly beyond the stepper motor, it lets me install this adapter over them rather than inside and reduces the internal diameter. I also wanted to be able to screw in my vacuum hose directly rather than having the adapter fit inside and then use a clamp, which again reduces the internal diameter.
