MPCNC drag knife/pen holder
thingiverse
*** NOTE: I HAVE NOT PRINTED AND TESTED THIS. THIS IS A PAPER DESIGN. IF YOU PRINT THIS, PLEASE LEAVE FEEDBACK AS TO WHAT WORKED AND WHAT DID NOT WORK. *** This design is for a carriage that holds tools like a drag knife or pen on the MPCNC (525 mount) and uses an elastic band to apply force to hold the tool in place. I found the mounts from V1 Engineering to be too loose in X and Y axes, so I created this one based on Tech2C's design for the HyperCube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HciNR-tskwQ No actual tool holder is included yet; only the movable carriage. Attachments should be easy to make using the values below. The holes in the carriage are 14mm apart and 3.4 mm in diameter, fitting an M3 screw snugly but not too loose. The carriage itself measures 24mm tall and 46mm wide.
