Just what everyone needed, another untested model waiting to be tried out. Be cautious before printing, as it may take up to 12 hours for the entire print job to complete. These parts were remixed from randysteck's drag chain mount and integrated into the stepper mounts and XY roller. Several components were uploaded into TinkerCAD, where they appear to fit together seamlessly. If you're feeling adventurous, feel free to give them a try, but be warned that they may not work as intended. The goal is to provide a functional model for others who have full machine designs to upload into their CAD software and verify fits before printing. If no one else takes on the task of refining these parts, I'll continue building my MPCNC and test them out along the way. A 3/4" x 3/4" angle is required for the roller mount, which can be made from aluminum or steel. I recommend using 16ga (1/16") aluminum for the best results. The STL files are all that's available since they were created in TinkerCAD. What we have here includes: C_RollerMount_Dragchain - A simple remix that incorporates the chain support angle into the stepper mount. C_RollerMount_Dragchain_M - The mirrored version of the above part. C_RollerMount_Dragchain_GX16 - Similar to RollerMount_Dragchain, but with a mounting hole for a GX16 aviation plug at the end of the drag chain. C_RollerMount_Dragchain_GX16_Stepper - The same as above, but with another GX16 mount for a plug to connect the stepper. C_RollerMount_GX16_StepperOnly - A stepper mount for your other axis without a drag chain support mount. C_RollerMount_GX16_StepperOnly_M - The mirrored version of the above part. C_XY_Burly_Dragchain - Replaces the top XY part in the stack to provide an attachment point for the drag chain that doesn't pull on the Z axis. It also provides an attachment point for a separate Z chain if desired. Dragchain_Stepper - Provides an attachment point to the stepper for a Z axis drag chain from C_XY_Burly_Dragchain. Recent updates include: 01/29: Reupped all RollerMount files, fixed a small problem in one of the chamfers, and added versions with GX16 mounts for steppers. These can be used to make the steppers pluggable for easy replacement of motors. Added two RollerMount files with only stepper plug holders for use on the other axis so all steppers can be plugged. Reupped the XY model, which now includes two holes to mount the Amazon 10x15 drag chain to connect to the stepper itself and control those wires. This shouldn't affect the Z axis since it will only be moving straight up and down with no side load. Added Nema 17 chain mount for the KL17H248-15-4A steppers as sold on V1 site. I found a dimensioned drawing, which may need adjustment. 01/30: Reupped all RollerMount files, adjusting holes for GX16 plugs to fit my plugs perfectly. Also changed the mounting of the drag chain support angle to a single M3 screw with a nut pocket, fits a nut 5.5mm across flats. Uploaded a drill guide for drilling the angle. 02/01: Added C_XY_Burly_V2, which moves the tower back away from the chain support an extra mm and flattens the top since the wires will be going down and around the side when using a Z chain. Added ChainEnd_Out_90, a chain end that attaches to the XY tower with a 90-degree bend to guide wires around the corner without letting them sag down and rub on the chain support. Added ChainEnd_In_Stepper, which has a small cutout to clear the stepper chain mount while keeping the stepper chain mount the same.
