MPCNC Acrylic enclosure Hinge and Foot
thingiverse
MPCNC Acrylic enclosure ==================== This enclosure is part of a custom build for my Mostly Printed CNC machine. The hinge and foot pieces serve to hold a 5mm acrylic sheet in place between the conduit and build plate. Two hinges are attached to each side next to an MPCNC foot, and it's up to you to decide how many foot pieces to use. Each hinge is 4cm wide, ensuring they won't interfere with endstop mounts. Future revisions will include additional mounting options. I recently printed a prototype of the hinge and found it works smoothly. To avoid support material, rotate the hinge during printing. The design allows for a certain degree of opening, preventing the hinge from falling off the conduit when unscrewed while still fitting securely onto the conduit. This design is intended for use with 25mm conduit and M4 screws/nuts. Although it may also work with 25.4mm conduit, I would appreciate reports from anyone who tests this configuration.
