MPCNC 525 - Dremel 3000 Mount
thingiverse
This was designed around the international version of the 525 - it uses metric bolts. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:790533 This clamp secures the Dremel 3000 to the Mostly Printed CNC 525 edition, which utilizes the universal mounting system. The lower section of HicWic's Dremel 300 mount and the upper section of stado65's Dremel 3000 mount were modified to make them compatible with the new universal tool mount. Print Settings Printer Brand: Printrbot Printer: Simple White Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: ~0.35 Infill: 45% or higher Notes: Print with three shells for strength. You can print at a better resolution, but I see no benefit beyond aesthetics. I printed in PLA with a heated bed on, though it is not strictly necessary. Post-Printing Assembly requires four M4 bolts of twenty millimeters length and two M4 bolts of ten millimeters length. Nyloc nuts are also needed. As always, do not over-tighten. How I Designed This I used Sketchup 2014 to remove small mounting sockets from the original parts, then imported them into TinkerCad for subtractive modeling to mate with the universal tool mount.
