MPCNC 3d printer bed plate holders
thingiverse
This is a set of holders designed specifically for the MPCNC or any other type of stationary bed system used in 3D printing. The package includes corner, side, and center pieces that can be assembled as needed. To attach the plates to plywood, #6x1/2" wood screws were utilized. A large hole is incorporated into the center plate to allow the screw head to sit below its surface. These holders are printed in Ninjaflex, allowing for flexibility to compensate for any warping of a 3D printer base made from plywood. The printer used has an 18"(450mm) x 24"(600mm) bed size with a 3/8"(16mm) aluminum printing plate, and the holders provide necessary support. A feature of this setup is auto bed leveling, which can adjust for any movement. An update was made on February 22nd, 2016 to increase the height of all blocks by 4-5 inches (10-13 cm) to ensure a clear 8mm space between the printed plate and the silicone heat pad. It's essential to note that if you're using a heated bed, you should not use the center support. These holders do not directly contact the silicone heat pad under the bed; instead, they rest on top of the aluminum printing plate. Four corner pieces and five side pieces were used in this setup. It's recommended to place a side piece on either side of the heater wires to avoid applying pressure on them.
