MPC or APC Replacement Knob Caps

MPC or APC Replacement Knob Caps

I kept losing the little black caps on my Akai APC40 MIDI controller. So I made some new ones. The tolerances for these are pretty exact with the original cap, but depending on what you print and how, it may be a really tight fit or it may be a little loose. I printed with black Eryone PETG filament at 230/60 nozzle/bed temps at 0.2mm resolution with 20% infill and they are a PERFECT tight "snap" onto the tops for me. You may need to adjust your print settings a bit to get what you need. The pictures show all the replacement caps installed except for the "Cue" control; I left that one as the original so you could see the difference. I like the Eyrone PETG filament for most of the basic "replacement" or "supplemental" parts I make, but it doesn't look so good up close. I've got some ABS and PLA in various colors that I plan on printing more of these caps in so I can replace them by function as far as my layout goes (I use a custom MIDI map so it's not just for Ableton). Enjoy!
