MP32C64 Cover for Commodore 64 Datassette Player/Recorder Emulator
thingiverse
Here is my design of a cover for the MP32C64 emulator. This design is only for the new version of the device, called MP32C64 Player/Recorder. Take a look at the pics for a clear comparison between the two versions. As you can see, there are two variants of the STL: one of them ("Regular") is compatible with the standard placement of the components on the PCB. On the top part there are two square holes, where you can move the switches inside, a hole for the potentiometer and two more holes for the LEDs. The other one ("Updated") has a different placement for the holes, and it is, in my opinion, more aesthetically pleasing. On the other hand, this version will require you to desolder the switches and the LEDs from the PCB and displace them to fit in a new position. You will then need to join the new connections with some bodge wire. In this case, though, the switches can be glued directly on the top cover, and they will be far easier to reach. Both models have built-in supports, so you don't need to add new ones. Also, the right side of the cover is empty inside. I designed it this way to give the model a more pleasing and symmetrical appearance. You may also glue a few bolts there to make the emulator feel heavier and high-quality. I'm currently printing my version and I'll upload new pics as soon as it's finished. :D
