MP3 Player Project Box

MP3 Player Project Box

I purchased a budget Chinese MP3 player and FM receiver for my workbench. I needed a case to hold it in place, so I designed and printed one myself. The box is 55mm tall, 140mm wide, and 100mm deep, but its dimensions were specifically tailored to this project; you might find alternative uses for it. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Geeetech Prusa i3 Aluminum Rafts: Yes Supports: No Infill: 20% Notes: I experienced issues with this print sticking to painter's tape on my print bed, resulting in a slightly uneven bottom despite using a raft. Post-Printing I assembled the box with feet and installed a 12-volt power supply. A small modification was made to the front edge for a snug fit of the MP3 player. The player fits comfortably inside its new home. I will create a custom lid, but it's designed specifically for my needs, so I won't be sharing it here; however, creating one should be relatively straightforward for your project. This image shows the box with its bottom surface not perfectly flat due to sticking issues with large prints on my bed. A power switch was added to the player as it originally didn't have one. How I Designed This Tinkercad is a trusted tool in my design process. I used Tinkercad to create this box, and although I'm a complete beginner, I find Tinkercad somewhat frustrating at times; nonetheless, it remains the easiest CAD software I've worked with so far.
