I modified my MP Select Mini V2 E3D with a 40mm fan to facilitate ABS printing. To do this, I added a damper that can be reversed to shut off cooling airflow altogether. Alternatively, the damper can be adjusted to reduce airflow to an intermediate level. In addition to the damper modification, I reinforced the screw holes for a stronger mount and designed a support for the Bowden tube, ensuring it enters the head straight. Update: After using the modified printer, I found that the bowden support did not work as intended and broke. As a result, I have updated the files with a new version. However, I've also upgraded my hotend to an E3D Lite which doesn't require a Bowden support. If anyone uses this modification, please leave feedback on its effectiveness. I recently installed a genuine E3D Lite hotend and discovered it was shorter than the clone E3D that came with the printer. To accommodate this difference, I used the hotend mount from www.thingiverse.com/thing:2698327 to lower the hotend by 3mm. I then shortened the shroud to match the new hotend's dimensions, and updated the file accordingly.
