I own a Monoprice Select Mini V1, which has been my trusty companion for four weeks now - it's actually my first ever printer! I've taken some valuable advice from fellow enthusiasts about limiting cooling when printing with ABS plastic. To achieve this, I've started using masking tape on my printer. To make the most of this setup, I designed a fan shroud that allows me to easily switch between different nozzles. In addition to improving airflow, I wanted to simplify the process of replacing the fan. By doing away with the screws that hold it in place, I can now swap out fans quickly and efficiently. As an absolute beginner, I'd love to hear from more experienced printers about their thoughts on cooling and its effects on my printer's performance. I've experimented with ABS plastic from Rigid Ink, and my printer seems to work perfectly with this material - but I'm eager to learn more about optimal printing settings and techniques!
