MP Mini Select V2 E3Dv6 Mount w. Fan Cooler
thingiverse
I employed this design to isolate the hotend and part/nozzle cooling, allowing me to quickly test different part cooling configurations. Currently, the hotend is cooled by a 30mm fan, while the part/nozzle is cooled by a 40mm fan. The airflow that cools the nozzle/part is distributed around the nozzle to prevent wind shadowing. With this current design, I achieve some impressive bridging results (>35mm @ 195° w. PLA Geeetech Black), at least in comparison to the stock cooler. UPDATE: With the new design, bridging over the entire print area becomes possible. Since the airflow is improved, I had to increase the printing temperature for adhering layers during bridging. Maybe I will create a design with a 30mm part cooler, which I think might be sufficient for part cooling. To mount this, a bit of leveling/adjustment is necessary since the design defines the horizontal position of the nozzle and, therefore, the height of the print bed. I printed everything using PLA. After more than 10 hours with the new cooler, I experienced no issues with melting or anything else. I uploaded the mounting part (Fusion360) so you can design your own part cooling. Additional parts: 4 x M3 Nut 2 x M3x10mm screw 2 x M3x25mm screw 1x 40mm fan
