MP Maker Select V2.1 Fan Shroud

MP Maker Select V2.1 Fan Shroud

I've tried out several different fan shrouds for cooling on my printer, but some didn't deliver quality prints and others just weren't effective. As an engineer, I figured I should be able to design one that works, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. This is a simple fan shroud that's probably been made by hundreds of people before, but it gets the job done for my Noctua 40mm Fan. The best part is that it integrates seamlessly with the existing mount on my MP Select V2.1 printer. Right now, the fan shroud works by simply screwing into the plastic holes, but I'm working on a fix to make it even better and expect to release an update within the next week or so (May 2nd, 2018). I've designed two versions of this fan shroud - one that's already been tested and another with some tweaks. The untested version has a slightly modified shell and a wider mouth at the nozzle end. I'm currently testing a print using the V6 design while also printing the V7 version. If you're interested in getting your hands on the part files, just shoot me a comment and I'll be happy to share them with you. Over the next few weeks, I plan to release several more versions of this fan shroud, including one that wraps around the nozzle in a "C" shape. These designs will work seamlessly with both the stock 40mm fan and the Noctua 40mm fan. If you've got any suggestions or ideas for changes, let me know! I'd love to hear your thoughts and incorporate them into future versions of this design.
