MP Delta Pro / Atom 3 Filament Roller
thingiverse
Filament Roller for the Monoprice Delta Pro built by Atom 3d. This is also referenced as the Atom 3 lite, but the frame is identical from what I've seen, and thus this roller should work. The attached screw should work for 48mm ish to 70+mm filament rolls, depending on the depth. The .f3d file is attached if you'd like to play with the taper angle of the extrusion. It should auto calculate if you keep it reasonable. If you do make updates parts be sure to post the remix as others(and myself) may find it useful! I'd also love to see your makes, so upload those as well! I printed all at .2, I believe the wire channel could probably be pointed at .1 for better overhangs. All stl's are in the correct orientation. You can turn the arm on it's side if you'd like so that the layers are oriented in a more strong direction. Either way should be fine though, there shouldn't be *that* much stress on the layers. I just sunk it below my build plate in s3d and hit slice. Assembly is pretty simple. Remove supports from the roller base, insert your 2x 625 washers into the hole from the bottom. The second bearing should protrude about 1mm for added clearance. Insert your M5 x 30 screw through the hole on the wire channel, using a button head cap screw is best here, socket head will work but will get in the way of the wire more. Insert your M5 x 30 through the original M5 hole on the MP Delta Pro / Atom 3. Make sure to align the nub with the lower hole that we took the zip tie mount out of earlier. Add two M5 washers, add the roller base(through 625 bearings). Now screw in the original filament arm and tighten well. Slide the roller arm over the original filament arm and align screw holes on the roller base. Screw in your 3x M3x6 screws. Alternate tightening so everything stays straight. Ziptie wires to wire channel. Add filament roll and arm screw cap, tighten as needed. Enjoy low friction printing!
