The MPDM Mounts a Microscope Ring LED Unit to Top of Monoprice Delta Mini 3D Printer This DIY project enables users to attach a microsocope ring LED unit to the top of their Monoprice Delta Mini 3D printer. Required components include: (1) Cup magnet - similar to the one available at amzn.com/B00HVGK9S4 (1) M5 x 25mm Bolt, 5mm washer, and 5mm nut (1) LED unit - this particular model has a switch and dimmer integrated into the head, allowing it to be wired directly into the printer's power bus: amzn.com/B0757FWNJ5 Important considerations: Pay attention when positioning the MPDM so that it doesn't pinch or obstruct the Bowden tube and wiring harness. This requires some attention but is not difficult. The power cord should be fed through the slot used for the Bowden tube. There's ample room, keeping the cord up and out of the way of moving parts. This setup does a great job lighting the work surface. Although it isn't perfect, as it can't fully illuminate directly under the printhead, it still does an excellent job. Adding 3 side LEDs at the print plate level might be beneficial, but for now, this works perfectly fine.
