MP Delta Bed Hole Plug (PROTOTYPE)
thingiverse
This design is specifically tailored for the Monoprice mini delta. The cooling fan blows directly onto the back of the heatbed, which houses the thermistor, and this component is designed to seal the hole created by the fan. There are two prototypes available, one featuring ears that allow magnets to be attached underneath the bed, while the other lacks these features to accommodate different printer configurations. However, the magnetic version appears slightly too thick to fit snugly under the bed as depicted in the illustration, though it effectively conveys its intended purpose. I have yet to test or print with the non-magnetic variant. When positioning this component near the heated area of the bed, it's essential to utilize a high-temperature material such as ABS or preferably PETG. Initially, I attempted to seal the hole using kapton tape but discovered that the heat caused it to deteriorate rapidly. Others have successfully employed a flash card attached internally within the printer casing. For optimal results, consider utilizing concentric supports for the lip with approximately 25-30% support density due to its small size necessitating substantial support.
