The MP 3008, also called Maschinenpistole 3008, Volks-MP.3008, and Gerät Neumünster, was a late World War II German-made submachine gun substitute. As resources dwindled in 1945, they developed the Volksmaschinenpistole - a cheaper alternative to the MP 40. Distinct from its predecessor, it featured a vertical magazine and sometimes extra pistol grips; it closely resembled the Sten Mk II submachine gun. This creation was an emergency response during Germany's imminent collapse.
