Mokana is an elusive creature living in a dense forest, few people have seen it, but for those unlucky people who had the misfortune of witnessing Mokana, few ever come back alive to tell the tale. Mokana was described by its survivors as being 4 feet tall, with a pair of pointed ears, a green body and short hair, two toes and three fingers with sharp claws. Its most frightening feature is its glowing red eyes and high-pitched voice. This elusive creature hides in a dense dark forest, waiting for unsuspecting lone hikers to pass by. It lures victims with its glowing red eyes. Survivors often describe seeing the glowing red eyes, then losing all memory of what happened next. The missing hiker is usually found miles away from where they were reported missing, with no memory of how they got there or where they had been during those missing days. Most missing hikers are eventually found dead weeks later in inaccessible locations such as deep ravines, the bottom of cliffs, caves and alongside rivers or brooks. Old folk tales tell a way to avoid being captured by Mokana: never go hiking alone in a dark forest, and make lots of loud noise as you hike. Loud noise can scare away Mokana just like bears, mountain lions and other predatory animals. Don't look at those deadly glowing red eyes!
