Moving Zombie Hand
thingiverse
This project came into being for my daughter (7), who wanted a zombie hand emerging from the ground in front of one of our Halloween grave stones. I accepted the challenge, figuring out how to make it happen and letting her add her creative touch by painting it. https://youtu.be/1pTBzfezZlM We've just got it working, with more details and credits to follow. The creepy hand design belongs to: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:384074 I printed the hand hollow to keep the weight down and at 200% scale, then trimmed some of the wrist area so that it would fit on my printer (197.4mm height). To provide enough plastic for screwing in, I printed an extra bottom layer. Credit goes to: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:822705 I heavily modified this design to work with my setup. It operates on 4xAA batteries at 6 volts, a requirement dictated by the motor used. https://youtu.be/6VFUGUHeXlk https://youtu.be/VYlw3AxqvqU
