Moving Zombie Hand
prusaprinters

This came into existence for my daughter (7). She wanted a zombie hand that was coming out of the ground in front of one of our grave stones we setup for Halloween. Challenge accepted. I figured out how to make it happen, and she painted it.

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/1pTBzfezZlM"></oembed>

We just got it working, further details and credits to follow.

Credit for the creepy hand goes to: https://www.thingiverse.com/make:384074
This I printed hollow to keep the weight down. I printed it at 200% and then cut off some of the wrist so that it would fit vertically on m printer (Height came out at 197.4mm)
Print with extra bottom layers to allow for enough plastic to screw into.

Credit for the gear box beginnings, been heavily modfied from the orginal to work with my setup. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:822705

Operates on 4xAA batteries at 6 volts, this voltage was a requirement of the motor I used.

https://youtu.be/6VFUGUHeXlk

<oembed url="https://youtu.be/VYlw3AxqvqU"></oembed>

Print instructions

Category: Robotics
