Moving Light Pen Holder
prusaprinters
I work in the live events lighting industry. I needed a way to hold my pens and organize my desk. This is the solution I came up with. The model is based on an Ayrton Khamsin. The head pivots and is deigned to sit at a 30° angle and it holds about 10 average pens. The top of the head sits about 190mm from the table when built.I designed this to be able to print on my FlashForge Adventurer 3 - so each part fits into the 150mm x 150mm x 150mm build volume.Construction:I used PETG to print as it's what I had on hand. PLA will work fine. I'd recommend more walls (3 or 4) and 10-20% infill to give a bit more strength.Print orientations are noted for each part.Glue the pivot into the yoke using whatever you'd normally use. The head slots into the yoke and then take 2x M3 screws with a max of 15mm thread to hold it in place. The head just slots into the base so it can spin freely - or you could glue it if you want.
