Movie Machine 0.2 "Magic Lamp" work in progress

In Movie Machine 0.2 "Magic Lamp," we sought to explore the integration of 3D printing (handcrafted, customized) and industrial production (universal, standard). We envisioned an app for an Ikea lamp called "Magnarp" as well as integrating techniques that use melted PLA with paper for precision in folds and holes. Furthermore, we aimed to reduce costs and production time by utilizing products like straws to create bars. In this initial experimentation stage, we chose the 16 alchemy symbols as archetypes of collective unconscious, following Jung's theory. We "played" with the idea of Tibetan prayer rolls, but our prototype uses a symbolic code that forms archetype combinations, evoking a magic unconscious through observer movement and position.
