Movi Pro ardunio custom remote
thingiverse
The Movi Pro controller can cost anywhere from $1800 to $3000. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money. However, I do have $60 and a dream, which is enough to start this project. This project takes the Movi Pro API and the Arduino Esplora game pad and turns it into a Movi controller like device. It's still a work in progress, but I'll keep updating the project as I go along. UPDATE: 5/8/2020 This project got way more complicated than I expected! I'm going to upload my code soon because this is still a work in progress. I've switched to an Arduino Mega and hope to use magnetic encoders to allow for wheel control soon. When it's done, you should be able to stop and start the camera, switch between joystick and wheels, use roll axis, have focus and Iris and zoom control, set custom focus areas for stills lenses, kill the gimbal, and see what commands have been used on an LCD display. Any help is welcome because I'm learning to code from scratch. If you want to follow the list of stuff you need, here's a link to the Doc: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/12lsOiDdvgZu5Yls7rvfdLitaRzaLAaZt UPDATE: 5/17/2020 I fixed the main body, and it should fit with all the parts now. UPDATE: 5/29/2020 I added a different body for the cheaper joystick I think most people will use. I'm working on the wiring diagram right now, but you'll definitely need to do some mad soldering. UPDATE: 6/30/2020 The new software is done! The display changes with the mode button push. You'll need an i2c connection board to the 16x2 display. I'll update the buy link later. I really don't think many people will do this anyway. The wiring is basically solid, and the only thing it's missing is the Iris control wires. It's pretty simple, though; I'll update again later. The link to the Google Drive will have all the stable versions of the software linked in it. Remember, you need to make sure you have the right i2c address to get the display working. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAkDFVayJKs&feature=youtu.be Same link to the general Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/12lsOiDdvgZu5Yls7rvfdLitaRzaLAaZt UPDATE: 7/8/2020 Version 7 of the software is coming along very well. We're working on adding in Majestic mode at the moment. It seems Freefly has locked that away or didn't finish it, one way or another; I'm trying to bring it to people somehow. Added: -V mount plate UPDATE: 7/10/2020 I used to have $60 and a dream, now I have... a lot less and some really cool remotes. New software available on the 14th as well as tutorials.
