The plate is a parametric, customizable design compatible with Manfrotto 200PL and Calumet 1/4"-20" and 3/8"-16" systems. It features a pre-installed 1/4"-20 UNC bolt with handle, tapered for easy insertion into thread-cutters. A 1/4-20 nut may be tried instead but has not been tested. The design includes a special adapter plate version (200pl_GH2.* files) that allows the battery door of Panasonic GH1 and GH2 cameras to open. Users can modify parameters for different bolt sizes and camera nut depths, with default settings at 7mm suitable for most cameras. The design has been exported for 1/2-20 UNC and 3/8-16 UNC options.
