(moved) labeled lensgear-set for Geared Follow Focus
thingiverse
This design has been moved to YouMagine (https://www.youmagine.com/designs/labeled-lensgear-set-for-geared-follow-focus). The shift was due to reasons stated in this blog post (http://marcuswolschon.blogspot.de/2014/01/leaving-thingiverse.html). It's a parametric set of lens gears for a follow focus, compatible with industry standard systems. The gears are costly in shops but this design allows you to print them at your convenience. The gears have a pitch of 0.8 and tooth count of 97. They all share the same outer diameter but differ in inner diameters based on lens requirements. This feature eliminates the need for adjusting your follow focus when switching lenses. Each gear has its nominal inner diameter labeled onto it in 3D letters. The design features gears for various lens sizes, including 60mm (56-60mm), 62mm (59-62mm), 65mm (62-65mm), 68mm (64-70mm), and 70mm (67-70mm). It also provides examples of lens sizes for some DSLR lenses. The blog post (http://marcuswolschon.blogspot.com/2011/07/parametric-lens-gear-set.html) and photos (https://picasaweb.google.com/Marcus.Wolschon/201105_201106_geared_follow_focus?feat=directlink) are also available for further information. For those without a 3D printer, the design is available on Shapeways (http://www.shapeways.com/shops/marcuswolschon). The license is CC-BY-NC-SA, allowing you to make and improve the design but not sell it or made parts without giving attribution.
