Moveable Rifle Rest

Moveable Rifle Rest

thingiverse

I stash various items against the edge of my basement workbench, including boat paddles, pellet rifles, curtain rods, fluorescent light bulbs, etc. These objects are always poised on the brink of disaster and after knocking over a rifle and messing up a scope mount last weekend, I decided to take action. I designed a movable rifle rest that can slide into the T-track on the edge of my bench so it can be positioned anywhere I need it, moved out of the way, or removed completely with just two quick lever flips. I printed it in extremely high resolution with 60% infill, which took ages, but I believe it looks fantastic and will last for years, quietly doing its job of preventing me from making more messes. The opening is over an inch wide to accommodate a broad range of things, and I plan to glue in a piece of felt or cork to prevent scratching anything.
