Moveable R2D2

My latest creation is an R2D2-inspired robot with legs, head, and retractable center leg that move. While I've managed to get the basic mechanics down, I still need to work on the details of the skin - my weakest area yet. My design was influenced by someone's version with wheels and a moving head, although I couldn't track it down to link it. If anyone has any experience or inspiration for this type of project, please share your creations. I'd love to see what you've come up with. I recently added a larger version of the robot, which is 120% bigger than the original and stands about 92mm tall. The file name includes v2.1, indicating that it's an updated design. I printed this model at both .2 and .15 layer heights to test its stability. To address issues with loose parts when scaled up, I reduced the gaps between moving components. On January 21st, I posted a new version of my robot with more detailed bodywork. This update includes improved hinges on the arms and inside base of the head, making it easier for the moving parts to break free. Additionally, I added tabs to prevent small floating parts from getting flipped out during printing, especially at slower speeds. I've also removed the older 120% model and will work on creating a larger version of this design if there's sufficient interest.
