Mouvement échappement Spiral - Escapement Spiral
thingiverse
Large scale reproduction of classic spiral escapement movement. It is not a clock, it's a decorative object to visualize the operation. The operation works fine but I don't recommend running it continuously because the materials aren't hard enough. I chose to use brass pins and tubes, four millimeters in diameter and three millimeters thick, which are very well adjusted. Pay attention when mounting the pallets on anchor and adjust the depth as needed. Follow the photos for assembly instructions. Adjust the spring so that the ankle plate is vertical. You can see how I did it in a photo of the spring adjustment. I made a counterweight using a steel tube filled with lead. The weight should be around five hundred to six hundred grams. This object is fun and helps you understand how a watch works. NOP21 Important note: I just realized that I included two unnecessary files, which were modified later and shouldn't be printed. These are: Gear escapement Middle wheel February 25th, 2017 I corrected them and added the inlays to the photos, large axes etc... February 28th, 2017 Big thanks to MicroBoy for his beautiful model and helpful comments. I corrected the errors. Also, I want to mention that I printed it with silver PLA material.
