Mouthstachepiece for Trombone
thingiverse
I am upgrading my initial design for a mouthstachepiece on trombone to make playing easier. I've enlarged the throat/cup diameter and deepened the cup for better performance. Many thanks to Robo for their original mouthstachepiece, which this customized version is based on, and also dellagd for the 7c Bach Trombone/Euphonium Mouthpiece dimensions that some of this design was modelled off of. This modified design can be found at: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:55520 It was created with a customizer: http://www.thingiverse.com/apps/customizer/run?thing_id=55520 Print and play: it works easily, sounding well. To improve the quality, I suggest making the narrow part of the throat in the middle wider by drilling or sanding, reducing stuffiness. Similarly, use this method to make the backpipe narrower on the outside as some trombones might have trouble with this width; I did it myself. I am using these options: MustacheSize = 90 CupDiameter = 22 RimWidth = 8 BackPipeDiameter = 12 CupSphereFactor = .75 ThroatRadius = 5 CupDepth = 18 ThroatDiameter = 5 MouthPieceLength = 88 RimShape = 0.7
