Mouthpiece puller for trumpet
thingiverse
This tool is designed to remove a stubborn mouthpiece stuck in a small brass instrument. The design utilizes a pair of short M6 rods, complemented by M6 nuts, locknuts, wingnuts, and washers. Additionally, three M5 bolts and their corresponding nuts are used. An OpenSCAD file is provided for effortless modification. Post-Printing Instructions When assembling the tool, attach the bottom nuts to the top piece using superglue, while also securing the middle nut on the rod in place with glue, if desired. Gluing the parts together yields better results than relying solely on the adhesive's hold alone. Soldering the components together would be even more effective. Using the Tool Important Considerations When utilizing this tool to remove a stuck mouthpiece, tighten the three screws at the bottom so they barely touch the instrument's neck, lip, or sleeve without attaching themselves to the mouthpiece. Excessive force must be avoided when working with delicate instruments. If the mouthpiece proves stubbornly stuck, it is recommended to seek professional assistance from an expert in brass instruments.
