This specimen, cataloged as number 523a8 (specimen 1), is part of a significant collection of artifacts acquired by James Bell Bullitt during his 1929 tour of western Europe. The collection was later donated to the University of North Carolina, where it resides in the North Carolina Archaeological Collection at the Research Laboratories of Archaeology.
