Mousewheel replacement for Vertical Mouse
thingiverse
When the mousewheel on my J-tech vertical mouse stopped scrolling, I knew it was time to investigate further. They don't use the standard cleaning method with this model, so I figured out a different approach. The tip of the plastic wheel had broken off, leaving me no choice but to design and print a replacement. Using PETG filament and a 0.4mm nozzle, I created the part and tested it on my mouse. To my surprise, it worked perfectly, and the tip slid in snugly, allowing the receiver wheel to spin smoothly. However, I noticed that the hex head was not quite right - a smaller nozzle would have been ideal. I designed this part with a solid structure, printing it with supports and a raft that I carefully trimmed. Unfortunately, getting it into position proved challenging due to the design of the brackets. The hollowed-out version should be easier to install, but I haven't had a chance to test it yet. Additionally, roughing up the wheel edges might help improve the grip of the rubber outer wheel. My mouse model is the J-tech V628, but this design may also work with other similar models such as the Deluxe and Flexispot versions.
