Mousetrap for PET bottle
thingiverse
Based on [ripper121's mousetrap](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3070230), which I had previously used with success. As good as that one was, there were some changes I wanted to make, so I redesigned it from scratch. I made it all print at once. No assembly required. This is optional, as I've also included separate files for the ball and the trap. You can print the ball first and put it into the trap while printing if you prefer. I also made a version with small connections between the ball and the trap to help stabilize the ball during printing. Cut the connections after printing and sand or file the ball smooth. After the mice chewed through part of one of my prototypes, the ball came out through the entrance. That let them freely enter and exit the trap, and worse, I could hear them playing soccer in my attic at night. So I redesigned the entrance to make it harder for them to do that. I added the wings for stability. They keep the mice from rolling the bottle over and getting out. You can also use them to anchor the trap using nails, screws, staples, or even just tape. Update: Thanks to feedback from [Sotto_Rosa](https://www.thingiverse.com/Sotto_Rosa), I have uploaded versions with balls that are 95% the size of the previous one. If you think you might need more space for the ball to move freely, try those.
