Travel box for a pc mouse Trust Verto Wireless with a slot for 2 AAA batteries.

I saw nobody did this before and I desperately needed something like this for my mouse to keep it safe in a backpack, so I made my own travel box.

The hole for batteries is actually 12 cm long, which is much longer than two AAA batteries (ca. 9 cm). If you intend to carry batteries in there, I would suggest filling the bottommost 3 cm with some cushioning, e.g. cotton wool, to avoid moving and sound during transport.

The yellow insulating tape is there because I first designed the lid with a 0.2 offset all around the inner part (I'm not sure how to call that) and the lid was quite loose, so I covered the inner brim to let the lid sit firmly inside. Now it doesn't fall when shaked upside down.

I added a second design of the lid (called 'tighter', 0.1 mm offset) to reduce the need for the tape, but I had not tried it yet.

The included lids are without my logo, just with the text or completely without text. There is also an Inventor 2021 part file to the lid ('lid.ipt'), so that you can adjust it on your own.

Printing settings:
Printed on Prusa MK3S using PLA named PLA+ Black from Filament PM. Resolution 0.3 mm, 0.6 mm nozzle, no supports nor raft, 15 % infill, 2 perimeters.

Cushioning:
I just took some foam from delivery packages and cut it to pieces which could fit inside (trial-and-error method, see photo). Because nothing could hold the pieces together, I decided to use some duct tape which worked pretty well. The foam is 3 mm thick, but it was too tight on some places so I replaced some of it by a 1-mm-thick foam. Fits pretty well. I guess using a 2-mm-thick foam would be best.

Then I glued the duct tape (bcs the foam would not stick well) using superglue to the box insides (just a bit in the center bottom and the lid).
