All credit goes to ShareAlike, I simply removed the lower part of the base so it hangs over the edge like the real statue. Hopefully, I got it right, never having used Blender before. I also created a split version that can be glued together to avoid excessive supports, then tried editing the longer end of the DNA to make it slimmer since it's no longer supportive. The edit is quite rough; in one, I filled in the ends I cut off and in the other, I just matched them up with tiny gaps.
