Mouse Pad Attachment
thingiverse
The desire to be mobile is essential for all of us and even though a trackpad on a laptop functions well, we all know that a mouse can be more productive definitely when it comes to work tasks. So, I designed this shelf system to attach to the side of my laptop to provide additional functionality. To assemble this project, you will need more than 3D printed parts; I intentionally avoided wasting plastic during the design process. By printing the design provided here and gathering a few basic materials such as small screws and two 2 3/16 bolts along with a quarter-inch sheet of wood, you can complete the assembly. The video below showcases the full assembly process in detail. This shelf system offers two different mounts to accommodate various laptop shapes: the curve mount or the square mount. You will only need one of these mounts for your specific laptop model. Warning: Bolting this attachment to your laptop may cause damage; I have only tested it on my own laptop, so proceed with caution.
