Mouse moved by the mouth
thingiverse
This project is based on the work of T. Wirtl published at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1090461 on October 24, 2015. Our project involves replacing the sensor that comes with an electronic cigarette, which can no longer be found in stores, and adapting it to a KY-037 module - essentially a microphone with adjustable sensitivity settings. This allows us to click on the left button using either a breath or an inspiration. Functionality: The user navigates the cursor using a mouthpiece that functions as a joystick. The right mouse button is activated by pushing the nozzle into the box. The left mouse button is emulated by a sensor that detects if air is being sucked through it. Hardware software: We used open-source hardware and software whenever possible. The system is controlled by an Arduino Pro Micro, with Firmware written in the form of an Arduino sketch.
