Mouse flight case
thingiverse
So I'm excited to share a small assembly project that I recently completed, and it's surprisingly practical - a box for my mouse. The pictures show a sleek case with a logo, but in reality, there are no logos involved. For this project, I decided to use M3 threaded inserts and matching screws. This choice proved to be a good one, as the M3 screws fit perfectly into the inserts. In most cases, I used button-head screws for added stability and convenience. However, for the locking mechanism, I opted for a countersunk M3 screw instead. In terms of screw length, I believe that 8-12 mm lengths can work well for this project. Of course, if you know where to find them, using M3 threaded inserts and matching screws from the same source can be beneficial. Unfortunately, I'm unable to recall the exact origin of these components, as they were simply lying around at the time.
